In honor of National Get to Know Your Customers Day, we are taking a moment to shine a light on all the different ways we do this. (In the least “tooting our own horn” kind of way.)
Did you know?
Get to Know Your Customers Day is observed annually on the third Thursday of each quarter (January, April, July, October). This is a day to reach out to your patrons and get to know them better.
A Personalized Touch
Because customer service is all about the customer, a personalized touch is absolutely in order. The way we do this is to be sure to use their name and be sure we are pronouncing it correctly. The next step is to be sure we ask them how they are doing and truly mean it.
Listen to Understand, Not to Respond
The art of not being robotic is key. The less we can feel scripted the better. We know how to help our customers without reading through lines. We can humanize the whole conversation simply by listening.
Above and Beyond is the Bare Minimum
When you are speaking with someone who is itching to get off the phone it shines through. There is nothing worse than a rushed and pinched conversation. We take the time to make sure the concern has been addressed, however that’s not the end. We then offer additional service to make sure they feel cared for.
Truly Get to Know Your Customers
Instead of answering their questions and closing a ticket out, we take the time to learn the meaning behind the problem. This not only helps the customer, but it also helps the brand learn insights into how they can improve upon their product or service.
