VIPdesk Commits to Becoming a Carbon Neutral Enterprise and Joins B Corps Net Zero 2030 Pledge

Alexandria, February 10, 2022 – Today VIPdesk Connect Inc. (VIPdesk), an award-winning U.S. based provider of innovative outsourced customer experience solutions, announced it officially joined B Corps Net Zero 2030 Pledge. The company joins a fast growing group of 1700+ companies committed to reducing emissions wherever possible. “Becoming a B Corp and implementing a sustainable business model was our first step to contribute to an inclusive, equitable, and regenerative economy,” said Sally Hurley, CEO VIPdesk. “Now, with the Net Zero 2030 pledge, we go one step further and join the movement of innovative, forward-thinking companies willing to implement concrete steps to fight climate change.” The idea behind Net Zero 2030 is simple: to accelerate the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions to reach a 1.5 degree trajectory leading to net zero by the year 2030—20 years ahead of the 2050 targets set in the Paris Agreement. VIPdesk is currently in the process of taking 3 action steps that includes monitoring its carbon footprint, integrating strategies to reduce emissions and informing all stakeholders of its mission.

VIPdesk is already compliant with the fundamentals of the Net Zero 2030 pledge and is leading the BPO industry in this mission. To contribute to its carbon reduction plan, VIPdesk is sharing simple strategies with its team members to implement from their virtual environments. These include calculating a team member’s home carbon footprint, choosing clean energy options in their communities when possible and adopting a “reduce waste, increase efficiency” mindset and practicing it daily. “VIPdesk plans to share its ideas and strategies with other forward-thinking brands operating a call center and interested in joining this critical initiative,” added Othmar Mueller von Blumencron – VIPdesk’s VP of Sales & Marketing. “Because we’re all in this climate change challenge together, it’s the right thing to do. All businesses large and small need to gear their company operations toward a carbon-free world now.” The B Corp Climate Collective is a member organization of the UNFCCC’s Race to Zero campaign, which mobilizes cities and organizations to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2050. As part of this partnership, all Net Zero by 2030 committed B Corps are considered a part of the Race to Zero.
